why I do what I do.
As a first-generation Asian American, I grew up carrying the responsibility of caring for my family and guiding them through unfamiliar systems. My parents, immigrant farmers who survived famine and war, spoke only Chinese and had limited education beyond middle school.
From a young age, I became their translator and advocate — helping them communicate in a new language, supporting my siblings and cousins through school, managing paperwork for our struggling family restaurant, and keeping up with rapidly changing technology.
These experiences taught me that behind every system is a human story — stories of struggle, resilience, and the need to be seen and understood.
What do I do?
As a product designer, I’m driven to uncover these stories to advocate for more inclusive and accessible digital experiences. My background has shaped my understanding of the deeper need for empathy and accessibility in systems that serve diverse communities, especially those facing language barriers, financial hardships, and cultural differences.

Currently, I lead research and design innovation for federal clients at KPMG. Previously, I played a key role in redesigning the JobGet mobile app, helping thousands of blue-collar workers find jobs during the pandemic. At BlueFever, I designed marketing materials to provide social wellness and emotional support for Gen Z women, driving the highest growth in followers in months.

Through these roles, I’ve seen firsthand how thoughtful design can empower people and create meaningful change.
