Overview
JobGet is a mobile platform that streamlines the application process for blue-collar job seekers and employers, built on the idea that finding a job shouldn't involve hours of form-filling and weeks of waiting.
This app was inspired by the personal experience of JobGet's CEO, Tony. His mother, a qualified pastry chef with 24 years of experience, struggled to find work after the bakery she worked at closed. The process of finding hourly work was tedious—she used Craigslist, called businesses, and visited locations to fill out paper applications.
The complexity and gaps between job seekers and employers motivated Tony to create JobGet as a bridge of opportunity.

Problem
Since the app's rapid launch in 2019, the user page flows have been poorly designed, requiring users to make unnecessary clicks to complete actions.
Many employers contact support, confused about how to create a job post, only to realize they've created a job seeker account instead. Our goal was to redesign the user flow across the entire mobile application and its features for both employers and job seekers.
Goal
We needed to redesign the user flows and implement a new design system across the entire mobile application.
The goal of this redesign is to address users' challenges in completing simple tasks, such as signing up for the correct account, and to enhance the overall usability of the platform.

One of our goals was for users to sign up for the correct type of account, as an employer or job seeker.
I worked on the Product Team at JobGet as a Product Designer for their Mobile App to help build a new design system and implement the new branding in the redesign of user flow pages.

I collaborated with product managers, designers, engineers, and users to redesign video application and login user flows to reduce help desk tickets by over 75%.

"I need help! I can't create a job posting because I accidentally signed up for a Job Seeker Account instead of creating a Business Account."

Reflection
Simplifying the application process for job seekers and reducing friction for employers demonstrated how intuitive design can minimize errors and enhance usability.
This project reinforced my belief that even small design changes can greatly empower users, especially during challenging times like the pandemic.
